Any writers here?!

Hey all!

Are there any writers on this site?! I don't know when, exactly, but I've always wanted to write. Currently, I'm working on a novel about a young girl who is trying to break free of her mother's grip on her life. It's a lot more involved than just that. There are control and drinking issues at play. Can't wait to find out how it turns out. While I do have an idea, novelist Stephen King declares "The BOOK is the BOSS". Sometimes, what you have in mind and where the story ends up might be totally different or somewhat the same. Guess that's part of the fun of it. While you're writing, you're also finding out out how the story ends. Spooky, but true.

Hope to connect with some writers, or avid readers.

Cool Hope to be able to do the same thing, but I've got three projects going at the same time. Okay, two and a half. The second is finished, but I wanna make some finishing touches. When, though. THAT is the question.

Hope I'll have a chance to talk to this guy. Talk. Write. Either. Would like to hear some of his hints for staying focused when I'm sure he had other things that needed doing at the same time.

Jo - whatya know? At somepoint in the not too distant future, when my eyes aren't threatening to roll to the back of my head for lack of sleep, I'd be happy to discuss some of my experiences with you.

Hey there!
Trust me! Been there. Done that. Got the sore backside to prove it! Yesterday, I was working on book revisions from about 3 or 4 in the afternoon til after that time in the morning this morning. That is to say, Sunday going into Monday. I just WANTED to get it done and out of my head. And I still thought of stuff I could do while I was at work. No wonder most writers drink! I don't drink, but on more desperate occasions, I've had a tumbler of iced tea with two ice cubes to I could talk myself into believing that would help. OY!

Anywho, go to bed. You look awful!
