The owner of a small plane that plunged into the Hudson River prayed fervently to be rescued from the chilly waters as hypothermia set in - a plea that was answered moments later when helicopters lifted him and his co-pilot to safety.
"I said, 'Dear God, it's cold, it's frigid, I don't want to die,'" Mark Sorey, 44, told the Daily News from Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, a day after his dramatic brush with death.
