S'up peoples!!
Despartly searching for a church home here in south Alberta (Lethbridge) and a forum to hang with other like minded Christians.
Question, yes I've read the TOS, will the statement "JW's are a cult" and any criticism of the current American administration get one banned? Without warning?

I think you'll find that here everyone is entitle to their viewpoints, however, if you want to voice your opinion there are certain forums to do that in. There are going to be a few on here that side with you on your statement and your viewpoint of the current American administration. You won't get banned unless you deliberately break the Site Rules (http://www.christianboards.org/forums/faq.php?faq=siterules) which can be found by the FAQ dropdown menu.

IMO, most, if not all, religions can lean towards the cult side based on their behavior and actions. I am anti-religion and I am also anti-denominational. I believe in one source, which is Jesus Christ. I follow His word. The more I study and learn of God's word (The Bible), the more I realize how many religions actually do NOT follow God's word - they have their own interpretation of His word to justify their cause and to allow themselves to do and say as they see fit.

As long as you follow site rules, your statements should fit in appropriately. However, I wouldn't name names, places, etc., unless you are prepared for a legal battle with whomever. ;) There is also a difference with voicing how you feel and making every post you make about a certain cause. Posting continually about a certain topic can eventually go over the line.

Discussions (http://www.christianboards.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=81) is a forum that your voluntarily join (usergroup based) that you have reign to voice your opinion - however others have reign to voice theirs right back. If a topic is too one-sided, too controversial, too religious-minded, etc., it will get moved there. It's kind of a shouting room for strong topics. Most topics end up here (http://www.christianboards.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=14) if they fall into this category. It's kind of a way to allow to bend some rules within reason but have others the chance to defend themselves.

We do allow certain news provided news is followed by a certain guideline and is actually a news story and not an opinion. For example, if you wanted to post news about what the current administration or local governments are doing and have factual news to back it up - feel free to submit it. We evaluate it and either approve it or request further information. If it is just an opinion, it may be moved or deleted, depending on the topic. No topic is truly deleted - just removed from view.

I hope this helps you understand a little better.

Welcome aboard Barabas. I sincerely trust you'll find and forge new friendships here at this forum. Here is today's verse for you found in Psalm 37:4-5, "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass"

His Servant ... Meshach
