I'm a Christian today because of my neighbors. I went to school with my friends from a few doors down and their cousins. One of whom was my high school friend. Anywho, Gail invited me to church one Sunday and I came along. I wasn't really raised with any real understanding of the Bible. I went to catechism because mom is catholic. But she didn't even go to church, so I didn't bother until my friend invited me. We went to Calvary Temple and I loved it! I will always appreciate Pastor Barber. So few like him today! He's from the Perry F. Rockwood 'old school' of preaching. From then on, I tagged along with my friend's mom, even if my friend didn't want to go. And, one Friday night, (Youth Night..Potter's House) I said YES. That was in April 21st (I think it was the 21st of 1981. That summer I went to Bible camp and enjoyed it so much that, despite the fact I was officially over the age limit the following year, I asked Pastor Barber if I could go the next year and he allowed it. Of all the rotten luck, I ended up getting a job so I had to work that summer! Rats. :???:
As per everyone, there have been issues and mis steps along the way, but God is forever faithful, even when His kids aren't.
