This was brought up by the kids in our group, and the question is:
Is it wrong to use internet acronyms for example OMG, W T F, STFU etc? Is it the same as swearing.
What would your comments on this be?

It is the same as swearing in my book. Its the thought that is implied and when people read it, they natural read out the acronym.
Same way I been working with my dauther with the words "Freaking", "Flipping" and I think there is one other. I keep telling her it still cussing in disguise and the implication is still the same. Unfortuantly now my son does that, she has rubbed off on him. :(
Oh the other one is Fricken.

I agree with Karin on this one. The acronyms are just a shorter version of the real thing. They're read the same way. You wouldn't read them as O.M.G. Know what I mean?

I also agree with you,Karen and Becca.I think people use them to make the
words look good.If you have a white cake and you put pink icing on it
you still have a white cake.Just because you do not see some of the letters
does not mean that they are not there.
God bless you all
