ROSCOE, N.Y. - Searchers slogged through mud looking for flood victims among crumpled cars, snapped trees, refrigerators and rubble scattered by a rushing "wall of water" that left at least one person dead.
Susan Farrell, who lives in Colchester, watched a truck trailer wash down the road and topple a telephone pole.
