Hello friendly people

Well, I just registered

So I suppose introductions are in order (the folks from CoC will know me as HMS_Dexter)

My name is Jurgens Krause, I am 21 years old and I have been involved full time with missions for three years now.

I had the priveledge of growing up in quite a strong Christian family, so for as long as I can remember I have known Jesus as my Saviour.

Although I have known Him for a long time it is only recently that I put Him in charge in my life, and as soon as that happened I knew that He wanted me to be His vessel (albeit a very broken and rather frail one) to share His message with those around me.

When I was 18 years old I moved from South-Africa to Zimbabwe to get involved with children and youth ministry in Hwange. I stayed with a wonderful family from whom I learnt what it means to truly serve a living God. The family consisted of only a Pastor and His wife (they never had kids) but they cared for a couple of young people that were related to them.

After I served in Zimbabwe for 18 Months my commitment ended, and I started looking for other opportunities to serve God. I had heard about OM's (Operation mobilisation) ship ministry (you can check out our website for more info) and decided that I wanted to get involved. OM has a policy that all South-Africans who wish to join one of the ships has to complete six months of missions training. So in January of '06 I started with the training at Boschkop, Pretoria. (I will share some of the testimonies of these six months as time goes by). By the time the training ended, I had become aware of a need for someone to administrate the IT systems on the training base, and I volunteered for this position. I have been doing this for six months now, and my commitment to the training base ends in Dec 07. In January of next year I will follow through with my plan to go to the Doulos to serve there for two more years.

If you would like to get in touch with me, just for a chat or to find out more about the ministry, do not hesitate to email pm or im me

God bless and I hope to make many new friends here.

Amen
