View Full Version : Recipe for you Southern folks - Fried Dill Pickles

Fried Dill Pickles

1 large egg - lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon hot sauce

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons ground red pepper
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 16 oz. jars of pickles (drained)

Combine first three ingredients in a large bowl. Stir well. Combine next ingredients including flour stirring well. Dip pickles in egg mixture and then flour mixture. Fry for 5 minutes at 375 degrees. Drain.

I do not know about this one . Have you made this before ?

Oh yeah, it's really good THG!!! Sonic used to see them, called pickle-O's. We usually do up a few when we're frying zucchini and yellow squash.

I have fryed eggplant many a time . Green tomatoes taste the same to me as eggplant .
I made some potato salad and my husband had me make him 2 potato salad
sandwiches .This is a first for me . I have herd of mashed potato sandwiches .
Dill pickles are a new one on me . I may try some .

When I was younger I used to love having potato pancakes. :)

You are young enjoy it , old comes to fast . Potato pancakes are something we use to have for lunch or supper . Some times we would put cheese in the middle than fry . I have not though of them for a while this makes me hungary for some. You know there are a lot of ways to fix mashed potatoes come to think of it.
